I’m a firm believer that some people are more successful in business because they are better able to spot opportunities and go after them. There are opportunities all around us if we look. And the more tuned in you are to looking for them, the better. I know that is how I’ve landed some of my best gigs, by simply paying attention.

Here are some ways that you can spot your own business opportunities:

· When you hear about something interesting, an event or gathering, think of creative ways that you can get involved and email the organizer to propose them.

· Follow people who seem to be doing the type of things that you want to do. By paying attention to their posts, comments, and shares, you’ll likely find out about similar opportunities.

· Actively research networking groups and get to know others by joining them and attending their events.

· Reach out to people in your network on a regular basis. You have to stay in touch to keep on top of new opportunities and information.

· Read and soak in a lot of content. Things change rapidly in business and if you’re keeping up to date with what’s happening, you’ll know where the new opportunities are.

· Reach back out to the same people who’ve offered you opportunities in the past. Chances are, they may have something else for you now!

· Write out clear goals and action plans related to getting the type of opportunities you want. You have to know what you want in order to get it, so put some care, time and effort into the process. It will pay off for you in the end.

When it comes down to getting a lot of opportunities and pushing yourself towards success, learn to become an opportunity sleuth and you will watch your chances multiply!
