Satechi’s Dual Dock Is Made For Apple MacBooks Or Windows Laptops
The new Satechi Dual Dock can drive external displays and supports data speeds up to 10Gbps.
Another week and it’s another product announcement from Satechi. This time, the launch is for Satechi’s new Dual Dock Stand, a docking station featuring an enclosure for an SSD. The new dock transforms any Apple MacBook or Windows laptop into a powerful hub using a simple dual USB-C connector.
The new Satechi dock is made from aluminum and is available in Space Gray or Black finishes. An array of connectivity options includes dual HDMI ports, USB-A ports, USB-C data ports, an Ethernet port, a DisplayPort, and a dedicated USB-C power port to keep the laptop charged while you’re working.
The Dual Dock Stand has two HDMI ports and a single DisplayPort that can support external displays at 4K resolution and 60Hz refresh rates. Two monitors can be connected to the dock in extended mode, although just one external monitor is supported when used with Apple Mac M1/M2 computers. Users can use two HDMI ports simultaneously or one DisplayPort and one HDMI connection.

Thanks to its dedicated pass-thru power port, the Satechi Dual Dock Stand can provide continuous power to a MacBook. The USB-C port can deliver up to 75W of power to keep a laptop fully charged throughout the day. The port is designed exclusively for power, so it doesn’t support data transfers or video output.
Satechi’s Dual Dock Stand also features an SSD enclosure in its base. The enclosure can be fitted with an NVMe or SATA SSD, expanding the laptop’s storage with maximum theoretical transfer speeds up to 10Gbps. The dock includes a screwdriver for installing the SSD in its enclosure.
Users can expand their connectivity options via the Dual Dock’s twin USB-C data ports at speeds of 5Gbps and 10Gbps. The dock has a wedge-shaped ergonomic design so it can comfortably fit beneath an Apple or Windows laptop while providing an elevated angle with an inclined view of its display. The elevation of the dock encourages more efficient heat dissipation through strategically placed vents that keep the device cool, even during intense usage.

The Satechi Dual Dock Stand works with various laptops and operating systems, including Microsoft, Mac and Lenovo machines and other devices that use a USB-C interface. Users can connect the dock using the included dual USB-C connectors for easy attachment. Both connectors need to be used simultaneously for the dock to function correctly, although they can be separated to expand compatibility to host devices other than MacBooks.
Pricing & Availability: Satechi’s new Dual Dock Stand is currently available from Satechi.net for $149.99, including a 20% discount using the code NVME20 until August 24.
